The HPE Developer Community

Monthly #114
This month’s HPE Developer Community newsletter
brings together practical
insights and open-source innovation across HPE.
This edition highlights how GitOps and
infrastructure as code can
simplify HPE OpsRamp management, how purpose-built
compute supports secure and resilient artificial
intelligence at the edge, and how PiG extends the Pi
agent harness through an open-source Go
implementation. The issue also covers Chapel 2.10,
including language, compiler, runtime, and community
improvements, and introduces GitHub Copilot as a
productivity aid for writing HPE Terraform
configurations.
The October Meetup spotlight features OpenBMC on HPE
ProLiant servers, with an overview of the project
and a demonstration of how developers can test
OpenBMC firmware through public infrastructure.
Together, these stories show how HPE communities are
advancing modern infrastructure, developer
productivity, edge intelligence, and open-source
collaboration.

HPE Developer Community Meetup October 28th, 2026: OpenBMC and HPE ProLiant overview
Join this session to learn how HPE provides the possibility to use OpenBMC on selected HPE ProLiant servers.
After a quick recall of the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) concept, this Meetup will present the OpenBMC project and its declination on selected HPE ProLiant servers. A demo of the public OSFCI infrastructure will be performed to demonstrate how developers can test their owned OpenBMC firmware without the need of any physical interaction with hardware.
